The Mathematics Continuum (“The Continuum”, “we”, “us”) is a South African mathematics education provider. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@getcontinuum.co.za for any privacy enquiry or to exercise your rights.

We collect only the information we need to deliver our service:

• Account details — name, email address, and (for learners under 18) a parent or guardian’s contact details.
• Educational data — grade level, curriculum (CAPS/IEB), progress, assessment results, and learning activity.
• Billing information — processed securely by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, and usage analytics to keep the platform secure and improve it.

We process personal information to:

• Provide, personalise, and improve the learning experience.
• Track progress and generate reports for learners, parents, and (where applicable) schools.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Communicate service updates, and — only with consent — relevant educational news.
• Keep our platform secure and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

Where a learner is under 18, we require verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account, in line with POPIA’s protections for the personal information of children. Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s information at any time.

We share information only with trusted operators who process it on our behalf — such as hosting, payment, and analytics providers — under written agreements that require them to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify. Where a processor is located outside South Africa, we ensure an adequate level of protection as required by POPIA.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect personal information. We keep information only for as long as your account is active or as required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal obligations.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
